Prior to 1975, the Volunteer Ambulance Service was ran by the City of Marthasville. In 2000, we transitioned from a volunteer service to a combination service, meaning our career emergency medical technicians and paramedics were supplemented with volunteer providers. today, our district is a career district, no longer utilizing volunteers.
