In August 1974, the Marthasville area voted to form an Ambulance District. Marthasville Community Ambulance District was formed on January 1st, 1975. Prior to 1975, the Volunteer Ambulance Service was ran by the City of Marthasville. In 2000, we transitioned from a volunteer service to a combination service, meaning our career emergency medical technicians and paramedics were supplemented with volunteer providers. today, our district is a career district, no longer utilizing volunteers. 

Today, the Marthasville Community Ambulance District serves approximately 5,000 people over 150 square miles, residing in the southern portion of Warren County, Missouri.  Our large agricultural community consists of the City of Marthasville, in addition to seven unincorporated surrounding communities. Our business office and crew quarters are located in the City of Marthasville and houses two advanced life support ambulances. In 2021, Marthasville Community Ambulance District handled 472, emergencies; and in 2022, our District handled 523 emergencies. Our current tax rate is set at 0.3962.

We currently operate with five full-time paramedics, six part-time paramedics and six part-time emergency medical technicians. Our professional emergency medical technicians and paramedics work a rotating schedule of 48-hours with 96-hours off duty.
